The Evolution of JENKI

Borough Market, one of London’s most vibrant and historic food markets, is now home to Whisk by JENKI.

The new concept serves whisked-to-order, ceremonial-grade matcha drinks, alongside functional shakes and homemade matcha bakes.

Inspired by the Japanese word “GENKI”, which signifies vitality and well-being, JENKI is on a mission to redefine energy drinks by replacing artificial stimulants with natural, sustained energy.

With three previous JENKI bars already established, we were excited to bring their fourth and entirely new concept to Borough Market.

Bringing JENKI’s Vision to Life

The fit-out for this project spans two floors, featuring a matcha bar on the ground floor- catering to both takeaway and sit-down customers.

Upstairs embraces a distinctive warehouse-inspired aesthetic, offering a relaxed seating area where guests can enjoy their matcha drinks.

Our team played a crucial role in bringing this space to life, expertly manufacturing all bespoke joinery elements for the project. From the intricately designed bar and counter on the ground floor to the elegantly crafted display cabinets upstairs, every detail was designed to align with JENKI’s aesthetic and operational needs.
